Belangrijk bericht!
Beste cliënten,
Na veel overweging heb ik besloten om met ingang per direct GEEN GELLAKBEHANDELINGEN meer aan te bieden. Dit besluit is genomen met jullie en mijn gezondheid en welzijn als hoogste prioriteit. Ik wil graag uitleggen waarom.
1. Risico op allergie voor acrylaten
De producten die gebruikt worden voor gellak bevatten stoffen genaamd acrylaten. Dit zijn chemische verbindingen die essentieel zijn voor de uitharding van gellak, maar ook in andere kunstnagelsystemen voorkomen. Helaas is er een toenemende bezorgdheid over het risico dat mensen allergieën kunnen ontwikkelen voor deze stoffen.
Een allergie voor acrylaten kan niet alleen leiden tot huidproblemen zoals jeuk, roodheid en zwelling, maar heeft ook potentieel ernstige gevolgen.
2. Gevolgen voor medische ingrepen
Wat veel mensen niet weten, is dat een allergie voor acrylaten je gezondheid op de lange termijn kan beïnvloeden, vooral als je ooit een medische ingreep nodig hebt. Acrylaten worden namelijk ook gebruikt in verschillende medische toepassingen, zoals:
- Botreparaties
- Kunstheupen of kunstknieën
- Pacemakers
- Tandvullingen of andere tandheelkundige materialmen
- Enz…..
Wanneer je lichaam eenmaal overgevoelig is voor acrylaten, bestaat het risico dat het deze materialen als 'vreemd' ziet en ze afstoot. Dit kan leiden tot complicaties bij medische behandelingen in de toekomst.
3. Preventie is belangrijk
Omdat deze risico’s niet altijd direct zichtbaar zijn, is het belangrijk om bewust om te gaan met producten die acrylaten bevatten. Ik wil ervoor zorgen dat niemand en ik zelf onnodig gezondheidsproblemen ontwikkelt, en daarom heb ik besloten om geen gellak meer te plaatsen. Dit besluit is genomen met jullie en mijn lange termijn gezondheid in gedachten.
Gewone nagellak kan een heel mooi alternatief zijn. Ik heb hele mooie nagellak van een goede kwaliteit die lang mooi blijft.
De afspraken die nog staan kunnen een keuze maken uit gewone nagellak of geen nagellak.
Ik verwijder geen gellak die elders is geplaatst.

After much consideration, I have decided to STOP offering GEL POLISH TREATMENTS effective immediately. This decision was made with your and my health and well-being as the highest priority. I would like to explain why.
1. Risk of allergy to acrylates

Unfortunately, there is growing concern about the risk of people developing allergies to these substances.
An allergy to acrylates can not only lead to skin problems such as itching, redness and swelling, but also has potentially serious consequences.
2. Implications for medical procedures
What many people do not know is that an allergy to acrylates can affect your health in the long term, especially if you ever need a medical procedure. Acrylics are also used in various medical applications, such as:
• Bone repairs
• Artificial hips or knees
• Pacemakers
• Dental fillings or other dental materials
• Etc…..
Once your body is hypersensitive to acrylics, there is a risk that it will see these materials as 'foreign' and reject them. This can lead to complications with medical treatments in the future.
3. Prevention is important
Because these risks are not always immediately visible, it is important to be aware of products that contain acrylics. I want to ensure that no one, including myself, develops unnecessary health problems, and that is why I have decided to no longer apply gel polish. This decision was made with you and my long-term health in mind.
Regular nail polish can be a very nice alternative. I have very nice nail polish of good quality that stays beautiful for a long time.
The appointments that are still open can choose between regular nail polish or no nail polish.
I do not remove gel polish that has been applied elsewhere.
